What does 'over-subscribed' mean?

In the list of available studies, Respondents will sometimes see that a study is 'over-subscribed'. 

What this means is that this study has many more qualified candidates than the researcher who posted the study was originally seeking to interview.

For example, a researcher may be seeking to interview 10 qualified Respondents, but the study has already received 30 qualified responses. 

So whilst there is the possibility new Respondents who opt in to participate will be selected by the researcher, the chances of being selected when compared to studies that aren't yet over-subscribed are reduced. 

The over-subscribed button as it appears in the list of active projects is highlighted below in red:
